WHY ACTIONBOX?

Hobby modelling is living a very interesting period, thanks to the variety of models available on the market with very accurate details. Many people would like to add little animations to their models with light effects and sounds, but they don’t know where to begin. Furthermore, the market doesn’t offer many chances.

With ActionBox, you will need just a few holes to let LED lights pass and you will start adding a realistic touch to your models. Set up the animations with the dedicated APP and thanks to the integrated Wi-Fi module of ActionBox, you may also post them online! All that with a small device and without any need to solder neither wires nor resistors. There are only 3 simple steps to set up your ActionBox!

1 PERSONALISING

We can offer a selection of LEDs with different colours to let you choose what suits your needs. Remember that with a single channel of ActionBox you can power a single microLED or a 1 metre LED strip! Moreover, you can also choose the proper loudspeaker to diffuse the sounds you set and up to 2 servomotors and 1 DC engine to add movement.

2 PROGRAMMING

Load the sounds you want to use on the integrated SD with MP3 format, select between the available light effects on the dedicated APP and synchronize everything with a tap. You will discover how easy it is to programme your animation. Here’s some panels from the app.

We will soon publish a library of animations on the website. You can download them for free and use them on your ActionBox.

Translator, hobby modeller, author of http://mentrelalavaturaasciuga.blogspot.com/ blog, ActionBox’s design draughtsman and keen on new technologies. One night, while we were installing some LEDs on one of my models, I asked my comrade if there was the chance to create an electronic device to personalise as much as possible the synchronisation of lights, sounds and movement.

CARMELO FALLAUTO

Electronic engineer and PhD from Politecnico di Torino where he worked to develop new optical sensors for biomedical applications. He’s currently working as freelance to design microcontroller embedded systems’ hardware and software, innovative IoT solutions and Cloud-based web services. Designer of the electronics in ActionBox and developer of the dedicated APP that we use to create animations.
